If you add one gorgeous intimate Ships of the Sea wedding to an equally stunning backyard wedding reception, then you’ve got Lorelei and Jonathan’s beautiful wedding day! Savannah is full of great places to elope, and this spot is definitely one of them. These two wanted an intimate wedding that felt like them: something relaxed yet elegant, a simple celebration of love. And what they wanted was exactly what they got for their wedding day! It was a slightly overcast day, with pockets of sunlight coming through every so often, which is my favorite kind of weather. I love how the clouds create a softbox over the sky when it’s gloomy out! And when the sun does come out, it’s this beautiful warm glow – pure perfection.

Their ceremony was held at the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum here in Savannah, and if you’ve never visited, you should absolutely go check it out. Even if it’s only to check out their beautiful gardens, it’s well worth your time. Keep scrolling through to see what I’m talking about!

After their intimate ceremony amongst closest family and friends, Lorelei and Jonathan kept the celebration going with a gorgeous backyard reception that will absolutely knock your socks off. It felt like I was in a secret garden, with greenery and warm twinkle lights adorning the reception space. It was truly a magical evening, with everyone gathering to eat, drink and celebrate with the new couple. You could tell that as far as wedding days go, Lorelei and Jonathan’s was exactly what they’d dreamt it would be – and I think you’ll agree after viewing their photos 😉
