There are some couples who I can tell are going to amazing to work with just through email, and Hayden and Abbey were absolutely one of them. Their love for each other was so apparent, and I felt like I was quickly befriending them before even meeting them. Their morning session brought some clouds and rain, but these two traveled all the way from Kentucky and were not about to let a little rain stop them. Like I said – my kind of people.
They requested that their officiant burn sage prior to the ceremony, and as the sage burned, there was a peacefulness surrounding us. The park was quiet, the raindrops were softly tapping against the pavement, and everyone went into a deeper, calmer space before the ceremony began. It was an incredibly beautiful process to both witness and capture.
After Hayden and Abbey made things official, they celebrated with a little dance, and then I made them kiss in just about every spot in the park (I just can’t help myself, OK?). We ended up at an adorable coffee shop downtown called Mirabelle, where they shared one of their favorite pastimes together: drinking coffee. Seriously, my kind of people. Wishing them love, laughter, and a whole lot of caffeine!
