This Gatlinburg elopement was one for the books, y’all. Picture this: it’s fall in the mountains, and there’s vivid colors of red, orange and yellow all around you. There’s sweeping views of the Smokies, and the gentle sounds of the river are calling your name. Who needs a Smoky Mountain wedding venue when you can have the Smokies themselves as your backdrop? That’s the beauty of having a Gatlinburg elopement – there’s truly no bad place to have your elopement ceremony when you’re in the great outdoors! And that’s exactly what Mallory and Danny’s wedding day was all about. The beauty of nature around us, focused purely on their love. It was the stuff dreams are made of.

Mallory and Danny shared a first look at their hotel, and then, we were off to the mountains! Seriously, guys. Consider having a Smoky Mountains elopement if you want a beautiful mountain backdrop for your day. I made sure to plan several hours for us to adventure through the Smokies because I knew just how many places we could stop at for photos. Every overlook had something beautiful: a waterfall, a blanket of yellow and orange trees, sweeping mountain views, the list goes on and on.

One fun thing to note: Mallory and Danny eloped on Halloween, and the town of Gatlinburg truly came to life! As we were headed into the park, we passed such a lively street where everyone was dressed up, celebrating the festivities. So, if you’re considering a fall Gatlinburg elopement, and love Halloween as much as I do, think about eloping on or close to Halloween so you can celebrate the day even more 😉

After our trip into the Smokies, we met up with Mallory and Danny’s families and had an intimate ceremony along the river. The sounds of the gentle river running was so soothing and added a little extra ambience to an already beautiful elopement ceremony. The officiant was actually the bride’s grandfather, which made the entire ceremony even more special.

Mallory and Danny celebrated after with their families back at a small venue space the hotel had on premises, and started their forever as the day turned into Halloween night!
