Where to even begin with this epic elopement? Let’s start with Tess and Brandon. These two traveled all the way from California to elope in Savannah’s Forsyth Park, and I had the honor of capturing it. We met at the gorgeous Mansion on Forsyth and walked to the park to prepare for their ceremony. From the moment we met, I knew that these two were so beyond easygoing and chill — they gave me total California vibes and I was loving it. We found a gorgeously sunny, secluded spot in the park and the two had an intimate and beautiful ceremony, and you could tell that these two felt like there was nobody else in the world but each other. It felt so special to me, like I was the only person in the world who got to witness their marriage.
After they were pronounced husband and wife, we decided to head over to Wormsloe Historic Site for some dreamy sunset photos. Anyone who knows me knows that if I could choose any time of day to shoot, it would be golden hour — the time leading up to sunset and the sunset itself. It’s warm and moody and I wish it were longer than just an hour, but to be honest, I’d be happy even if I got to capture only a few minute’s worth of golden hour. Fortunately for us, we had plenty of time, since the sunset was on our side that day. We shot until we couldn’t shoot anymore, and I remember getting in my car and wishing I could just be magically transported home so I could get to editing ASAP (don’t judge me!).
Tess and Brandon, you two were truly a pleasure to meet, and I’m so honored that I got to be a part of such a special day for you. And if or when you come back to Savannah, go ahead and hit your girl up, because anniversary photos are totally a thing 😉
