Below, you’ll find some amazing Savannah wedding venues and a few reasons why I love them so much. For even more location ideas, you can also go ahead and click here (especially if you’re hosting a Savannah elopement of an intimate wedding!).
If gorgeous Oak trees, a sprawling property, and multiple location options for your reception sounds like your idea of a perfect wedding venue, then Red Gate Farms is totally worth looking into. It’s only minutes from downtown but it will feel like you’re in another world entirely. Plus, they have gorgeous spaces for getting ready photos for both the bride and the groom. A total win-win.
While Chande Pines is technically located a bit outside Savannah, it’s well-worth a mention for many reasons. It’s such a unique location, with countless options around the property for photo ops. Their getting ready spaces are perfect for a small wedding party, and their ceremony site is beyond lovely. Their reception space is also amazing – their open-air reception space is the perfect blend of outdoor and indoor, and the property is perfect for you and guests to walk around and soak in the beautiful nature around.
One of the most iconic locations for a Savannah wedding is Forsyth Park for so many reasons. First and foremost, the backdrop is quintessential Savannah: live Oak trees draped in Spanish moss, surrounded charming historical buildings – you can’t get more Savannah than that. Another amazing reason to add Forsyth Park to your Savannah wedding venue list? If you’re having a smaller wedding (which means no chairs, no ceremony arches, etc.), you can get married here for free. If you do dream of a larger wedding in Forsyth Park, it’s totally doable! You’ll just need to get a permit from the city to ensure your ceremony goes without a hitch.
If you’re looking for a venue that’s downtown and has a lot of southern charm, the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is a great option. The architecture of the museum itself is lovely, and their stunning private garden is the largest in the city. It’s also in the heart of the Historic District – the perfect location for you and your guests to adventure around.
One amazing thing that Bethesda Academy offers: a chapel on site for you to marry in. It’s got picturesque views of the marsh and (of course) majestic live Oaks, and the amount of backdrops for your photos here are pretty endless. While you will need to provide your own setup (renting a tent is the popular option), when it all comes together it truly looks like magic.
