I’ve been wanting to take photos at Providence Canyon ever since I moved to Georgia. Also adorably known at GA’s little Grand Canyon, this place is essentially a desert, dropped right into the southeast. It’s a spot perfect for whatever you’re looking to celebrate, with pink, orange, and red soil that’s drop-dead gorgeous for photos. If you’re looking into holding a Providence Canyon wedding (or an elopement, or even an engagement session!), then I hope these photos from Carly & Drew’s session will help you swing even further into going for it!
By the time we reached Providence Canyon State Park, the sky was pouring down in sheets. Seriously, it was raining so hard that it sounded like hail crashing into the windshield! Our session began with umbrellas, and just like that, Providence Canyon turned from rainy skies to merely clouds, and even debuted a small slice of sun for a few moments! We trekked through the muddy red waters and made our way down the canyon, where the cliffs towered above us. It made us all feel like we truly were in a little Grand Canyon.
We ended their session with an amazing wardrobe change (if you’re looking for a spicy outfit to change into for your Providence Canyon elopement, keep scrolling down for a fiery look to copy!) and they had the best time laughing, dancing, and, of course, a little booty-grabbing.
I’m so ready for another Providence Canyon adventure. Providence Canyon wedding? Sign me up. Providence Canyon elopement? Here for it. This place has endless photo ops, making the day feel more like a stretched-out vacation than an ordinary day. Bringing the wild, wild west to Georgia has never looked as good as it does here, and I promise that your session will be epic – rain or shine. 🙂
